Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best tours in Playa del Carmen?
These experiences are best for tours in Playa del Carmen:
-
Half Day Trip to Tulum ruins with snorkeling in a Cenote -
Swimming with Sea Turtles in Akumal -
Explore a Secret & Private Underground World -
Climb the Temple of Coba -
Swimming with Whale Sharks -
Pink Lakes of Las Coloradas -

Is snorkeling good in Playa del Carmen?
Frankly, no. Although the beaches are beautiful and there are few places with rocks on the coast, snorkeling from the beach in Playa del Carmen doesn't make much sense. While the water has its characteristic Caribbean color and visibility is usually around 5-15 m / 15-45 ft, there is not much coral and marine life near the shore.
We hihgly recommend the
Protected Marine Park of Puerto Morelos, which we consider as THE BEST snorkeling area the Mayan Riviera has to offer.
Is Tulum open now?
The opening hours of the archaeological site of Tulum are: Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (when the last ticket is sold).
What's the best way to see Chichen Itza?
It is recommended to arrive early, when the archaeological site is about to open. The best and most comfortable way to do so is with a private tour.
